History of Crystal Beach Manor Civic Association

     The Beach Grill was originally a farmhouse for a sprawling Plantation dating back to the late 1700's.  It has gone through many changes once a hotel for visitors, as well as a bar and retaurant.  Now owned by Reggie and Cheryl DuPree, it contains a small grocery store in the front and a Bar with Restaurant in the back.

    Crystal Beach Manor Resort began in the 1920's with its neighbor, a few feet to the north, the private White Crystal Beach.  The larger community Crystal Beach Manor has more houses and today is a quiet but thriving community with a Boat Club and spectacular water views.  There are approximately 500 home owners in the Crystal Beach Manor.

     The Crystal Beach Manor Civic Association started in the early 1970's.  It was incorporated on October 24, 1972 as a 501(c)(4) non profit organization.  Today, there are approximately 140 members in the civic association.  We host many activities for our community such as Sundaes on Sunday, Holiday Dinner, Bingo games, Bake sales, Family Fun Day and much more.  Activities are open to any one in our community whether they are a member of the civic association or not.  These activities are for the greater good of the community to promote understanding, goodwill, and common interest.  We hold our general meetings on the second saturday of May, June, July, August, and September, 10:00 am at the Pavilion on the corner of Hilltop and Georgia Avenues.  These general meetings are open to All Crystal Beach Manor residents.
